It's called the Hillis plot, after the director of Dean's Scholars, Dr. David Hillis. Yeah, we have the guy who created this as our director, and you'll see him every week as the professor for your DS freshmen seminar. That's pretty cool, isn't it?

We've gone to space.

On February 24th, 2011, Dean’s Scholar Joseph Barratt’s father Dr. Michael Barratt offered to carry a memento of our program aboard the final flight of space shuttle Discovery. There can’t be many other honors programs that have been to space!
